Nurse Educator
Program Overview
As the healthcare landscape grows increasingly complex, the role of the professional nurse continues to evolve in response to today’s challenges. Research consistently shows that higher levels of nursing education are directly linked to improved patient outcomes. At the same time, the need for skilled nurse educators has never been more urgent—playing a pivotal role in shaping the future of nursing and the broader healthcare system.
Curriculum
Students take four general core and three different direct care courses. They also complete specialized requirements of their chosen nursing education concentration. The Nurse Educator Track includes:

NURS 765 | Nurse Educator Seminar and Internship Includes 100 practicum hours with their preceptor in the nurse educator role. |
Admission Requirements
- Satisfactory completion of an accredited baccalaureate program with at least 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale
- Submission of official transcripts from all postsecondary schools attended
- Active licensure to practice nursing in the State of Pennsylvania
- Completion of a statistics course at an undergraduate or graduate level with a grade of C or better
- Two professional references, one from a nursing supervisor
- Written statement of professional goals for graduate study and nursing career
- Professional resume or curriculum vitae

Accreditation
