MSN Programs
The Helen S. Breidegam School of Nursing and Public Health prepares today’s graduate nurses for essential leadership roles as Nurse Administrators and Nurse Educators. In addition, three nurse practitioner programs prepare students for advanced practice certification in Adult-Gerontology Acute Care, Adult-Gerontology Primary Care, and Family Nurse Practitioners. Graduate coursework is designed to foster interdisciplinary exchange and learning. The MSN programs are approved by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing and are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
The need and demand for graduate-prepared nurses to influence health and healing outcomes for people in our community is greater than ever before. As the healthcare environment has become more complex, the role of the professional nurse has grown to meet contemporary challenges. Research studies suggest that the more highly educated the nurse, the better the patient healthcare outcomes. Students are currently invited to make applications to any of the graduate programs.
